How do I buy a ticket?

The Color Run is not a movie, a concert or show, but a sports event.
You can join the event after registering online and paying the participant fee.

What is included in The Color Run™ participant’s kit?

Race kits are divided in two: with or without participant fee

If you are over 6 years old, you will need to choose the paid kit, while if you are above you can choose a free kit (only race number) or full kit.

Standard Kit includes a white t-shirt, a buff (a versatile fabric that can be used as a bust, bandana or headband), a race number and two temporary tattoos. After the finish line, you will receive your unicorn medal and a pouch of colored powder.

When will I receive the participant kit?

Race kits are not delivered by mail or courier. About 10 days before the event you will receive an e-mail with all the details about the place and schedule of the race kit pick-up area.

Don’t forget an ID and your confirmation letter, which you will receive after you pay.

Where can I leave my personal belongings?

You will need to carry all your items with you, at any time, during the event. There is no place where you can leave your personal belongings.

Do I have to be an experienced runner to participate?

Nope. There are plenty of great 5ks out there that test speed and performance. However, The Color Run is a non-competitive and untimed 5k filled with color that you can experience with friends and family. You’re free to run, jog, walk, or cartwheel along the course!

The Color Run™ is it a charity or of a for-profit organization?

The Color Run Moldova is an event organized by A.O “Sport Non-Stop” together with a series of private and public institutions. Nevertheless, A.O “Sport Non-Stop” is a professional organizer, developing The Color Run Romania since 2014.

In the same time, in Moldova, we work with A.O Sporter – the most experienced sports event organizers in the country, and our relationship with national and local authorities is very important for us.

Together we will offer you an unforgettable experience!

What is the inspiration behind The Color Run?

The Color Run was inspired by several awesome events, including Disney’s World of Color, Paint Parties, Mud Runs, and festivals throughout the world such as Holi. We wanted to create a less stressful, untimed running environment that was more about health and happiness than competition. We hope that The Color Run can act as a catalyst to inspire continual healthy living.

Can I run with my children, even dough we have a stroller?

Yes, but with only one condition..if you are ready to be “superheroes” parents! As long as they want to have fun, all the children under 6 years old can participate for free at our event, together with a registered adult.

Is there any age limit?

If your child can cover the 5kilometers of The Color Run course (while running, jogging, walking, or strolling), they can absolutely participate!

Kids under 6 years old can participate for free if they are accompanied by a registered adult.
Teenagers over 6 years old but under 14 years old can participate, by paying the full price, only if they are accompanied by a registered adult.

Teenagers over 14 years old and under 18 years old can participate alone, but one of the tutors needs to sign a declaration. This declaration will be passed to organizers at the race kit pick-up area when the kit is picked-up.

A default document will be available online.

Can I run with my dog/cat/turtle?

For the safety of our runners and animal friends, we do not allow animals at any of our races.

Any other rules for my clothing?

For a full experience: start the race in white and you will be finishing the race full of colors!

Wearing the official T-shirt is compulsory, but shorts/pants should not be white.
In the lower half of the body you can wear anything, but please wear something 😊
It’s much more fun to start the race in white and finish it … COLOR TARGET!!!

Can spectators join the festival?

Access at the event is strictly permitted only to participants, based on your official t-shirt, your race number (received in your participant kit) and your access bracelet (received when you first enter the event area).

Can I use my phone or a camera?

Our photographers will take pictures from a medium distance (5-15 meters). If you would like to take pictures, we recommend you to cover your cameras/phones with a plastic foil.

Is The Color Run™ a timed event?

The Color Run is an untimed event. Usually, participants do not hurry and most of the people don’t care about their race time. If you want a finish time, we suggest self-timing.

Can I get a refund?

We can give you a refund of 70% only if you send us an inquiry, by email at contact@thecolorrun.md with a minimum of 30 days before the event.
If you inquire a refund 29 days or less before the event, unfortunately, the refund is not applicable, at all.

If for some reason you can’t make it to race day, at least join us at Race Kit Pick-up Area, pick up your gear, and say hi to us!

Will running through the Color Zones affect my vision or breathing?

Our color powder is all certified non-toxic and free of any heavy metals. Our bright colors are a combination of cornstarch, baking soda, and FD&C (food-safe) dyes. Some Color Runners opt to wear glasses or goggles for their eyes and use a bandana or dust mask for their mouths. Our certified Color Throwers make sure to aim low as you pass by.

Will the color ruin my clothes or running shoes?

The color mostly washes out after the event. As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it the better. It’s best to wear items that you wouldn’t mind getting colorful. We suggest washing items you wore to The Color Run separately from your other laundry.

Will the color affect my car upholstery?

Most of the participants will use towels to protect the upholstery of their cars, just to make sure.

How does the post-race color throw work?

At the Finish Line, after the 5K run, every participant will receive a unicorn medal and a pouch of colored powder. We suggest you keep the pouch until the MC announces the most awaited moment of the event: the magic color throw! If you want to, you can purchase additional powder inside the Festival.
